Quick note from the Directors!

We just want to let everyone know how much we appreciate you and your children.  We love watching all the students learn and progress through out the year.  We also want to tell all of our parents and students thank you.  As we stated in the August newsletter, the lobby can be very crowded and busy the first few weeks of our fall session.  We have seen crowds in the lobby so far, but we are more impressed with everyone being understanding and patient while we get the new session off and running.
Thanks again and we appreciate your business.
Scott and Rachel Davis

Who is my child's teacher?

You should have received a card from your child's instructor the first week of class.  Please do not hesitate to leave your number at the office for them to call you to discuss your child's progress or any concerns you may have.   You may also e-mail your instructor through Gayle, our Preschool and Girl's Recreational Director, at gayle@tumblewithus.com or Benji, our Boy's Program Director, at benji@tumblewithus.com.  They will be happy to deliver messages to your instructor and have them get back with you.  If you have an issue or concern that you feel we need to know about or personally take care of, please do not hesitate to e-mail Ms. Gayle or Mr. Benji directly.

2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games

Their is a special congratulations in store for one of our very own Special Olympians.  Monica Hernandez will be representing the United States at the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece!  The games are scheduled to run from June 25 to July 4, 2011.

During the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece, the "land of fair play."  more than 7,500 athletes from 185 countries will compete in 22 different Olympic-type sports.  More than 25,000 volunteers are needed and more than 40,000 family members will be on hand cheering the athletes on.  Special Olympics athletes not competing in World Games will also play an important leadership role by acting as officials, assistant coaches, reporters and spokespeople.

Congratulations again to Monica Hernandez!

Gymnastics has cogntive benefits?

We all know that gymnastics offers great physical benefits such as strength, flexibility, balance etc.  Did you know that it also has cognitive benefits?  "When children are engaging in gymnastics, they are exercising their brains as well as their bodies."  According to Dr. Robyn Silverman, PhD.,  "Research suggest that there is a Strong correlation between physically fit children and academic achievement."

So, putting your child in gymnastics just seems to make sense.  They are having fun, your are giving them physical and cognitive benefits, and you are encouraging your child to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
